Sash windows from Clarks Glass

Vertical sliding windows slim sight lines and large glass area adds a timeless grace, while the vertical sliding operation means they do not detract from the façade of a building like casement windows, even when they are open. Sash windows offer superb controlled ventilation, better than almost any other window style. They can also be made with opening limiters to prevent easy access from the outside when open.

Our vertical sliding windows have been designed to mimic all the features usually found with timber sash windows, in most cases you can only tell the difference with a close up inspection. Unique hinge mechanisms allow both sashes to slide vertically and swing inwards to give an egress aperture of almost the full window size! Standard frames are hinged on the right when viewed internally. Hinges are finished in white for a discreet appearance.

Combined with period hardware and a complete range of heritage finishes, the Genesis VS pushes the boundaries of modern PVC-U sliding sash windows. Performance, style and elegance are all at the forefront with this period-feel window.

Our vertical sliding windows colour range

As well smooth white, our UPVc windows are available with a foil finish, which is grained and has the appearance of a wood grained product.

The palette has been carefully selected to replicate the colours that were traditionally used to paint sliding sash windows. You can even choose to have one colour to the outside and a different colour on the inside to complement your interior décor.

All finishes are highly durable and won’t peel, fade or crack over time, so your windows will look as stunning in years to come as they do the day they’re installed.
